Lethargy, wait-and-see attitude, tetany, lost time, action mired in the present, etc. We could go on at length, just by quoting adjectives and comments that were supposed to qualify the way François Hollande has been managing for the last weeks the affairs of the country. May the press conference that he held on Thursday, 16th May, be seen as a direct answer to those among his political opponents and especially among his friends, who were disheartened by the slow pace of decision-making.
